About Me

Education & Background

Nestligh is an architect with a Master's degree from Sapienza University of Rome, specialising in architectural conservation and technically driven residential design. Her education and professional experience span the UK, Italy, and Iran, shaping a design approach that is both culturally sensitive and rigorously technical, rooted in context, performance, and buildability.

Professional Experience

My work sits at the intersection of architecture, building services, and interior design. I have hands-on experience delivering residential projects from early concept and spatial strategy through to technical detailing, coordination, and site involvement.

In the UK, I have worked closely with engineers, installers, and contractors on low-energy residential schemes, developing integrated designs for heat pump and MVHR systems that respond to both regulatory requirements and lived comfort.

This has strengthened my ability to translate complex building-performance principles into clear, buildable drawings and coordinated packages.

Technical Skills

I am highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, SketchUp, and Bluebeam, using these tools to produce precise 2D drawings, coordinated 3D models, and detailed technical information across project stages.

My experience includes planning and technical drawing packages, interior layouts, construction details, and as-built documentation, alongside energy analysis and services coordination. I bring a strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, combined with international project experience.

International Experience

Earlier in my career, I worked on residential, commercial, and retail projects in Iran, producing Revit-based drawings across multiple project phases and gaining valuable exposure to construction processes and site realities.

In Italy, I contributed to interior redesign projects with a focus on energy efficiency and adaptive reuse, reinforcing my interest in sustainable design within existing building fabric.

Alongside architectural design, I have a formal background in interior design, which informs my attention to materiality, detailing, and spatial quality at a human scale.

Specializations

I am particularly interested in sustainable residential architecture, retrofit and conservation projects, and technically robust design solutions that balance environmental performance with architectural clarity.

I am multilingual, fluent in Farsi, English, and Italian. This allows me to communicate effectively across international teams and engage confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors from diverse backgrounds.

Design Philosophy

My work is defined by precision, adaptability, and a commitment to thoughtful, well-resolved architecture.
